·         Hyperopia: When the patient is able to view distant objects clearly, but the objects which are present near are not viewed clearly.
·         Astigmatism: When the eye is not able to focus light properly on the retina and make the images blurred and stretched out.
·         Presbyopia: In this medical problem, the lens of the eye loses the ability to alter the shape of the objects which are present close to you and it becomes problematic to focus on different things, this is an old age related problem.
Other different types of eye-test which the doctor can conduct are:
·         Assessing the proper three-dimensional vision
·         Checking of the peripheral vision of the patient
·         Checking the status of the eye-muscles by inquiring about the various directions by the help of pen-light or different small objects
·         Judging about the status of response to the light
·         Judging the inner health of the eye by the aid of ophthalmoscope
·         Assessing the back of the eye by the help or eye-drops which dilates the pupils to view the structures that are present at the back of the eye.
The doctor usually checks different parts of the eye. There might be a requirement of drops to dilate the pupils for assessing their status. This will give the doctor a clear picture of the inner side of the eye. These drops also make the eye sensitive to light for some hours, so patient has to wear the sunglasses until they are normal.
